Grab some tissues and prepare to be moved by this sponsored film, directed by Werner Herzog. If this doesn’t discourage reckless drivers from sending texts whilst on the move, then I’m not sure what will.
Sponsored by telcos AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile, the film sets out to put the breaks on a driving malpractice which caused more than 100,000 accidents in the US alone last year.
A masterful piece of directing, it follows a series of 30″ public service announcements commissioned by AT&T and broadcast last year in the US, and formed part of the telcos It Can Wait campaign.
Apparently Herzog was so moved and invested in the campaign message that he jumped at the opportunity to direct this mini-documentary. Alongside being hosted on various online platforms, the film is also being shown to high school students during their driver education classes.
